This unique 2 day course will cover all aspects of Microsurgical Endodontics and offers delegates the opportunity to practice on Human Cadavers.
- Delegates will learn surgical techniques step by step, with appropriate instrumentation and material handling.
- Delegates will work in pairs and will be able to treat both anterior and posterior teeth with the aid of microscopes, as well as being able to explore relevant local anatomy.
- Delegates will benefit from the use of digital radiographs during the course, to facilitate pre-operative and post -operative assessments

Know the indications and contraindications for endodontic surgery
Understand how minimal invasive (microsurgical) techniques can be sued to deal with failed endodontic cases
Understand and be able to employ contemporary tissue flap designs
Use ultrasonic instruments for retrograde canal preparation
Understand Calcium silicate ‘hydraulic’ materials: when and how to use them in surgery
Understand the types of lesion that may require bone regeneration (osseous grafting materials)
Understand the outcomes of endodontic microsurgery
Understanding of anatomy and important vital structures
How to manage the nasal floor, sinus floor, mental nerve and ID nerve
How to provide advanced local anaesthetic techniques, including intra osseous and extra-oral injections

Practical Elements:

Use of and operating microscope
Osteotomy and microsurgical techniques under magnification
Use of piezosonic surgical tips
Retrograde resection and obturation of root canals with MTA and ‘hydraulic’ silicate cements
