This course serves as an intensive non-clinical combination between theory and practice. Typodont and multiple practical components assist the ability of the clinician to develop their abilities.
Diagnosis and treatment planning practice is the basis of this course, with an emphasis on the longevity of correction. We train individuals in orthodontics and not in a specific system, hence the application to both fixed, aligner and removable orthodontics is considered and basic IOTN 2, 3 and possibly 4 cases can be treated by students after this course.
This program is held on one Saturday a month for 10 months, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Their fundamental components include lecture and treatment planning sessions on various situations which are encountered in Orthodontics. Practical components on every day include, model-work, wire-work, typodont activities as well as malocclusion correction as the day continues, numerous case practice sessions to emphasize and enhance treatment planning and partner companies will come to engage with the students regarding contemporary products. Psychology in Orthodontics is an important dimension to our teaching, and we ensure this is covered during some of the days.
